How We Collect Consent
Grassly is a business management platform (ISV/SaaS) used by lawn care and property service companies. Customers explicitly opt in to receive text messages by checking an unchecked consent checkbox when providing their phone number. This checkbox appears on public service request forms and within the customer portal. When a customer opts in, the consent text explicitly identifies the specific service business that will send messages (e.g., “I agree to receive service-related text messages from [Business Name]. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Text HELP for help, reply STOP to opt out.”).
Providing a phone number alone does not enroll a customer in text messaging. SMS consent is optional and is not required to receive services.
Consent records include a timestamp and are stored in the platform database. Businesses using Grassly can view consent status for each customer but cannot override or fabricate consent on a customer's behalf.
Types of Messages
Text messages sent through Grassly are strictly transactional and service-related. They include:
- Appointment reminders and scheduling confirmations
- Service updates and rescheduling notifications
- Invoice and payment notifications
- Direct replies to customer inquiries
- Estimate and proposal notifications
All messages are sent on behalf of the specific service business with which the customer has a direct relationship. Grassly does not send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages. Message frequency varies based on service activity. Message and data rates may apply.
How to Opt Out
Customers may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying with any of the following keywords:
STOP · STOPALL · UNSUBSCRIBE · CANCEL · END · QUIT
Upon receiving an opt-out keyword, the system will immediately confirm the unsubscription and no further messages will be sent. To resubscribe, reply START or YES.

Privacy
Phone numbers and message content are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell, share, or rent customer phone numbers to third parties. Phone numbers are used solely for the purpose of delivering service-related communications on behalf of the specific lawn care or property service business identified in the SMS consent text.
